The Burley Golf Club


Visitors

Visitors are always assured of a warm welcome at Burley Golf Club, in the heart of the New Forest National Park, Hampshire.  There is an abundance of wildlife and splendid views to enjoy whilst playing the course.  As Burley is a 9 hole course, it is advisable to check availability with the Secretary’s office.  When arriving at Burley, visitors must register before play to obtain the green fee ticket. Play is from the Yellow tees for gentlemen and Red tees for Ladies.

Monday to Friday (except Bank Holidays)

County card £18

9 holes £15

Twilight rate (after 4pm April to Oct incl) £18

Juniors (any time) £10

Saturday, Sunday and Bank Holidays

Societies

We are able to welcome societies. It is advisable to book early.

We also do special rates out of peak season, and for returning societies.

Please check availability with the Secretary/ Manager, who can advise on numbers, timing and other arrangements, including catering.

Any visitors or visiting societies must observe golfing etiquette, dress code and clubhouse rules.

Dress Code

A minimum of smart casual dress or clean golfing clothes, is required in all areas of the clubhouse at all times. Smart or casual shoes are required.

Acceptable On The Course

Trousers, including chino style and plus 2s or 4s with knee length socks. Tailored shorts with either long socks or short golf socks. Shirts with collars and sleeves or golf designed collarless tops. Shirts must be tucked in at all times.  Shoes made specifically for playing golf.  Caps worn with peak forward.

Not Acceptable On The Course

Jeans, denim trousers, cargo style trousers, tracksuits, shell suits.  Trousers tucked inside socks.  Athletic shorts, football shorts.  Tee shirts, football shirts, sun tops, vests.  Trainers, canvas shoes or any shoes not specifically designed for golf.  Caps worn back to front.

Acceptable In The Clubhouse

Clean golfing clothes.  Smart casual wear (unless smart dress is requested for specific events).  Clean tidy footware.

Not Acceptable In The Clubhouse

Work jeans or scruffy jeans or trousers, cargo style trousers, tracksuits, shell suits.  Trousers tucked inside socks.  Athletic shorts, football shorts.  Tee shirts, football shirts, sun tops, vests.  Caps.  Waterproofs or any other form of outer clothing.    Golf shoes of any description (except in the rear hallway and changing rooms).  Trainers.

Any breach of the above regulations will result in the offender being asked to leave the Clubhouse or Course.
